ICICI Bank Loan Statement: Download Online & Offline

Whether it is a home loan, a personal loan, a car loan or a business loan, every borrower should keep a copy of their ICICI Bank loan statement. This one document shows how much of your loan you have repaid, how much is still outstanding, and how every EMI was split between principal and interest. You may need it while filing your income tax return, applying for a balance transfer, planning a prepayment, or simply checking that your EMIs are being recorded correctly.

The good news is that you do not have to visit a branch for it. ICICI Bank lets you download the statement online through Net Banking and the iMobile Pay app in a few minutes. This guide explains every method step by step, and also covers the interest certificate that most borrowers need at tax time.

Note: this guide is about the statement of a loan you already have. If you have recently applied for a loan and want to know whether it is approved, read our guide on ICICI loan application status instead.

What Is an ICICI Bank Loan Statement?

A loan statement (also called a loan account statement or statement of account) is the official record of your loan account for a selected period. It is different from your savings account statement, because it tracks the loan itself — the amount borrowed, the EMIs paid and the balance still to be repaid.

A typical ICICI Bank loan statement includes:

  • Your name and loan account number
  • Sanctioned amount and the amount actually disbursed
  • EMI amount and the dates on which EMIs were debited
  • The split of every EMI into principal repaid and interest charged
  • Any part payments or prepayments you have made
  • The outstanding principal still payable
  • Any charges applied to the loan account in that period

Along with the statement, the bank also provides your repayment schedule (EMI schedule), listing every upcoming EMI with its principal and interest breakup, and an interest certificate, which totals the interest and principal paid in a financial year — the document usually asked for when claiming tax benefits on a home loan.

What You Need Before You Start

Keep the following ready before you try to generate your ICICI Bank loan statement:

  • Your loan account number
  • A bank account and its details with ICICI Bank
  • Internet Banking access (User ID and password)
  • Mobile Banking access through the iMobile Pay app
  • The mobile number registered with the bank, for OTP verification

Method 1: Download Loan Statement Through Net Banking

Net Banking is the most complete option, because it lets you pick any period and save the statement as a file. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website of ICICI Bank and log in to Net Banking with your User ID and password.
  2. After logging in, go to the “Cards and Loans” section and click on “Loans”.
  3. Select the loan account number for which you need the statement.
  4. Choose the period — the start and end dates for which you want the statement.
  5. The statement for the selected period is generated on screen.
  6. Download and save it in PDF format. For some loan products, an Excel format is also offered, which is handy if you want to check the figures in a spreadsheet.

Through the same login you can also use the Customer Service > Service Requests section to raise a “Request for Statement of Loan Account”, and to request your interest or income tax certificate for a financial year.

Method 2: Get the Statement on the iMobile Pay App

If you prefer your phone, the iMobile Pay app gives you the statement, EMI schedule and certificates in one place:

  1. Open the iMobile Pay app and log in with your mPIN or fingerprint.
  2. Tap on the “Cards & Loans” icon and select your loan account.
  3. Tap on “More Options”.
  4. Select “Loan Account Statement” to view or download the statement. On the same screen you will also find “EMI Schedule”, “Interest Certificate” and “Income Tax Certificate”.
  5. To quickly check how much is still payable, open the loan account “Summary”, which shows the current loan outstanding.

Certificates have a second route in the app too: “Services” > “Account Services” > “Interest Certificate” — choose the account and financial year, then tap “Generate PDF”.

Method 3: Interest Certificate for Tax Filing

At tax time, most home loan borrowers need the interest certificate rather than the full statement. ICICI Bank issues two versions: the provisional certificate, available during the financial year with figures up to the latest EMI paid, and the final certificate, issued after the financial year closes. Use the provisional one for advance planning and the final one for filing your return.

You can download the certificate through Net Banking and the iMobile Pay app using the steps above. Home loan customers who do not use Net Banking can also fetch it from the home loan statement page on the ICICI Bank website, using the loan account number plus any two verification details — date of birth, loan amount, EMI amount or the repayment bank account number.

Method 4: Request the Statement Through Customer Care

If you cannot log in to Net Banking or the app, you can call ICICI Bank Customer Care on 1800 1080 and request your loan statement or interest certificate. After verifying your identity and loan account number, the bank sends the document to your registered email ID. Only accept the statement on your registered email — the bank does not send such documents to an unregistered address.

Method 5: Get Your ICICI Bank Loan Statement Offline at a Branch

If the online methods do not work for you, the branch route from earlier still works:

  • Visit the ICICI Bank branch where your account is held and from where you originally availed the loan. For home loans, a Loan Servicing Branch can also help you.
  • Carry your loan-related documents and your bank passbook.
  • Meet the concerned loan officer and submit the documents.
  • Tell the officer the period for which you need the statement.
  • The statement is prepared and handed over to you.

How to Read Your Loan Statement

Once you have the statement, spend two minutes checking it. Confirm that every EMI appears with the correct date and amount, and look at the principal–interest split: in the early years of a long loan, a larger part of each EMI goes towards interest, and the principal share grows over time. Check the outstanding balance against your own records, and make sure any prepayment you made has been credited. If an entry looks wrong — a missing EMI, an unexpected charge — raise it promptly through a service request while the details are fresh.

Safety note: Download your statement only from the official ICICI Bank website or the iMobile Pay app. ICICI Bank will never call, message or email you asking for your OTP, PIN, password or CVV, and no bank officer needs these details to issue a statement. Never share them with anyone, and never use a third-party website that asks you to “log in” to fetch your statement.

FAQs

How can I download my ICICI Bank loan statement online?

Log in to ICICI Bank Net Banking, go to Cards and Loans > Loans, select your loan account number and the period you need, generate the statement and download it in PDF (or Excel, where offered). The same statement is available in the iMobile Pay app under Cards & Loans > your loan account > More Options > Loan Account Statement.

What is the difference between a loan statement and an interest certificate?

A loan statement is the full record of your loan account for a chosen period — every EMI, its principal and interest split, prepayments and the outstanding balance. An interest certificate is a summary for one financial year that totals the principal repaid and interest paid, and is mainly used as proof while filing income tax.

How do I get my ICICI home loan interest certificate for tax filing?

Download it from Net Banking or the iMobile Pay app (Services > Account Services > Interest Certificate, or Cards & Loans > loan account > More Options). Home loan customers can also fetch the provisional and final income tax certificates from the home loan statement page on the ICICI Bank website using the loan account number and any two verification details, or collect the certificate from a Loan Servicing Branch.

Can I get my loan statement without Net Banking?

Yes. You can use the iMobile Pay app, call Customer Care on 1800 1080 to have it sent to your registered email ID, use the home loan statement page on the bank’s website with your loan account number and verification details (for home loans), or visit your branch with your loan documents and passbook and ask the loan officer for a statement of your chosen period.

What should I do if an EMI is missing or wrong in my statement?

First, download a fresh statement for the exact period, since a very recent EMI may take a short time to reflect. If the entry is still missing or incorrect, raise a service request through Net Banking or visit your branch with proof of payment, such as your savings account statement showing the EMI debit, and the bank will correct the loan account record.
